​Bumblebee is a resilient, one-year-old female who is looking for her special forever family! [��]
​Bumblebee originally came into our care as an older kitten alongside her large family group. Unfortunately, shortly after being spayed, she developed neurological FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). FIP is caused by a mutation of the feline coronavirus, and until recently, it was considered a fatal disease in Canada.
​Luckily, incredible advancements in veterinary research mean there are now tested and approved medications to treat it! Bumblebee is the second cat we have successfully treated for FIP. She underwent three months of medication—responding incredibly quickly—and has officially completed her three-month post-treatment observation period.
​ [��] We can now very happily say that Bumblebee is cured of FIP! [��]
She is just like any regular, healthy cat, with the added bonus of immunity to contracting this strain of FIP again.
​ [✨] Personality & Ideal Home
​Bumblebee has enjoyed her time at the shelter, but she is so ready to move on to her happily ever after. She is a very sweet, affectionate, and gentle soul who loves to be held, snuggled, and gives the best kisses.
​Children: Bumblebee can be a little nervous around rowdy energy. She happily accepts pets when things are sample but will hide if it gets too loud. Because of this, she would be happiest in a home with teenagers and up, or a home where kids just come to visit. However, she could also thrive in a home with calm, respectful children.
​Other Cats: She is absolutely fantastic with other felines! There has not been a single cat at the shelter she hasn't befriended. She loves to play with the energetic cats and happily lounges with the calmer ones.
​Dogs: She has had limited but entirely positive interactions with dogs, and she is open to a home with a calm, respectful canine friend.
​Lifestyle: Bumblebee has been an indoor-only cat her entire life and needs to continue that lifestyle (though she’d love a secure catio!).
​Bumblebee is spayed, vaccinated, and up-to-date on parasite control.
