[��] Meet Skye: Your Next Adventure Companion!
​FOR ADOPTION: Skye is a beautiful, 3-year-old female Siamese mix on the lookout for an interactive forever family.
​Skye is an active girl who loves exploring her environment and keeping her mind sharp. While she isn’t overly cuddly, she truly enjoys getting pets and wants to be right in the middle of whatever her humans are doing. She will thrive with a family that loves finding creative ways to mentally stimulate their pets. If you are into building cardboard box castles, creating fun treat-dispensing puzzles, or playing with wand toys and laser pointers, Skye could be your perfect match!
​ [��] Her Ideal Home & Social Preferences
​Skye was originally adopted from us as a kitten but was recently returned because her high prey drive led her to hunt the family's pet birds, despite multiple attempts to keep them apart. Because of this, she needs a strictly bird-free home.
​However, she does wonderfully with other animals and lived with both cats and dogs in her previous home:
​Cats: She isn't overly playful with other felines, but she is happy to share her space with calm, respectful cat roommates.
​Dogs: She has been very non-reactive toward the dogs we have tested her with and could easily live with a cat-friendly dog.
​Kids: Skye prefers playtime and companionship over being held. She does very well with children who understand her boundaries, but she would not enjoy a home with young kids who constantly want to carry her around.
​ [��] Lifestyle & Outdoor Adventures
​Skye has been an indoor-only cat her entire life and would do well continuing that lifestyle. She is not a candidate for an indoor/outdoor life, as her hunting skills would wreak havoc on the local wild bird population!
​With that said, she would absolutely love a secure catio, and she has the perfect personality to adjust well to harness-and-leash training for supervised outdoor adventures.
