Darla

FOR ADOPTION: DARLA is a sweet and gentle approximately 2 year old female looking for a quiet and loving forever family. Darla come to us from a cat colony type of situation but has obviously received a lot of affection and gentle handling from the people around her. Darla is a quiet girl that will not demand your attention but when you have time she absolutely loves to be loved. Darla comes alive when she’s getting pets and cuddles. She could snuggle away an entire day if that is what her family is wanting or she will happily do her own thing until you have time to settle down at the end of the day. So far Darla has been a very quiet girl that enjoys lounging in comfy beds when she’s not being cuddled, a more playful side could come forward as she settles into her environment. Darla has spent her life around many, many other cats and does well around them but prefers gentle companions as she has no interest in rowdy play. Darla has had limited interactions with dogs and children. She could adjust to life with dogs as long as they are gentle and respectful. We could see Darla being a fantastic companion for a quiet child; she would gladly snuggle beside them as they practice reading, are doing art, while the watch TV or falling asleep. That being said we do think she would become overwhelmed if there was lots of roughhousing, running or loud noises in her home. Darla has been very happy and comfortable indoor only and would do well continuing with that lifestyle or having a catio to soak up the sunshine on nice days.
