Saffron

FOR ADOPTION: SAFFRON is a smart, sweet and energetic 13 week old female Shepherd mix pup that is expected to mature around 65lbs. Saffron has been in our care for a couple of weeks now, since being given away at the goat parking lot in Smithers. While in our care Saffron has had her first two puppy vaccines, she has been dewormed and treated for parasites, she has met children and other dogs and has made great progress in her house training and leash skills. Saffron has been great with the kids we have around the shelter aged 3-14. She loves to play and cuddle but is still a puppy and will need kids that can redirect her chewing to toys when she forgets that they are humans and not dogs like her. Saffron has been really good with all of the dogs she has met so far. She is confident and friendly with new friends and would love a canine companion with a playful side. Saffron has had limited exposure to cats so far but is a smart girl and, if introduced properly, will quickly learn they are buddies to chill with not play with. Saffron is smart as a whip and learned to sit and wait in just a few minutes, she would thrive in a home hat will provide her with mental stimulation as well as physical energy. This is going to be a higher energy dog when she is mature. If you’re looking for a jogging, biking, or skiing partner Saffron would gladly come along once her joints and ligaments have matured.
