Tuck

FOR ADOPTION: TUCK is a sweet and gentle 16-month-old female looking for a quiet and loving forever family.
This lovely lady was born a stray, living in the backyard of a caring family who took the time to earn her trust. Once they were able to catch Tuck, she was brought into a loving foster home where she promptly had a litter of kittens. Those babies grew up safe and warm, breaking the cycle of straydom, and the entire cat family became well-handled and sociable.
All of Tuck's babies have been weaned and adopted. Now that she has been spayed, she is so ready for her happily ever after! Tuck is a friendly, sociable, and affectionate cat who loves belly rubs and enjoys playing quietly with her toys or other cats. She has been very easy to introduce to the other resident cats and is slightly submissive with them. However, Tuck is not at all comfortable with dogs and can be reactive toward them if they get too close, so she would prefer a dog-free home.
Tuck was found to have a grade 2 heart murmur at her first vet appointment. We performed a full cardiac workup, which determined that her murmur is not clinically significant; it simply needs to be monitored at her routine vet appointments.
Tuck has been very happy staying strictly indoors while in NWAS care and has never tried to venture outside. We think she is quite content with the cushy indoor life, though she has the skills to be an indoor/outdoor cat in a safe environment once she is very settled in her new home. A catio would offer the best of both worlds, allowing her to enjoy fresh air while remaining safely contained.
Tuck is spayed, vaccinated, and up to date on parasite control. If you've been looking for a little love bug, apply today for a chance to meet TUCK!
