Sundew
FOR ADOPTION: Meet Sundew! []
SUNDEW is a gentle, one-year-old female looking for a calm, understanding forever family.
This lovely lady was born to a feral mother and had very limited human handling before arriving at the shelter with her large family. While Sundew has made incredible progress in learning to trust humans, she will likely never be an overly cuddly lap cat.
Thanks to a dedicated foster home, Sundew has learned the comforting sounds and smells of a household. Once settled, she happily accepts gentle pets, though she rarely seeks out affection on her own. Sundew’s preference is simply to cohabitate peacefully with her humans—sharing quiet, harmonious moments in the same room.
[] Her Ideal Home:
Children: She is easily overwhelmed by high energy, so she is looking for a quiet home with teens aged 12 and older who will respect her space and let her settle in at her own pace.
Cats: She is phenomenal with other felines! She would absolutely love to be adopted with her sister and BFF, Oasis (#NWASOasis), but she would also thrive with any other friendly, respectful cats. At the shelter, she happily plays with energetic friends or peacefully lounges with the calmer cats.
Dogs: She has had limited, but entirely positive, exposure to dogs. She is open to living with a calm, respectful canine companion.
[] Health and Medical Info:
Sundew was born with a heart murmur. At this stage, it simply needs to be monitored and rechecked during her routine annual vaccinations. There is no way to predict if she will require heart medication as she ages, but she is currently happy, healthy, and active!
Status: Spayed, fully vaccinated, and up-to-date on parasite control.
